mochi —
twenty-four. full-time student and worker. a shy polyglot. quiet bts trash. kmusic, anime, and foreign culture fanatic.
hello, everyone. i’m mochi (or yasu, depending on what aspect of life you know me from). i’m the lazy driving force behind baepsae and am the only one that can be blamed for the constant in consistencies in content and updating on this blog. currently, i’ve got my hands full with working full-time and full-time studying, so keeping up with this blog sometimes gets pushed to wayside for an overtime shift or an essay that’s due on sunday. despite that, i try to make sure that when i do post the length and quality is somewhat up to par to make it worth the time away. in the time that i’m not here, i can typically be found on @teacupclub_ where i co-run with the lovely abbey louisa rose to share your posts as “your favourite ghost uncle, mochi”. [ note: i am still trying to work out how to get the chats going again without messing up my schedule. i definitely have not forgotten. ] follow my main twitter, @keo___pi_, to see my collection of bts tweets, food retweets, and general updates about my life unrelated to blogging.
baepsae —
formerly mchiblogs* and other names. active since december of twenty-sixteen. no particular niche or category. sporadically updated. ran and maintained by ghost uncle mochi.
hello and welcome to baepsae. baepsae is a nicheless blog, ran by a consistently overworked twenty-something year old, and (accidentally) takes it’s name for a kpop song from one of said overworked twenty-something year old’s favourite group. although the blog was started back in december of twenty-ten, it has gone through several revamps and name changes before finally becoming and settling on baepsae. if you look hard enough, it is possible to find a large portion of the older iterations of the blog and see the differences / growth. as baepsae, the blog normally is focused on one particular genre and is no longer set on being just a review blog. this was done so that mochi feels more comfortable blogging and less restricted. currently, baepsae is under a bit of construction and rewriting; however, baepsae has no intention of completely closing down or being fully retired any time soon. if you like what you see here on the blog, consider buying mochi a coffee so that they can continue to somehow exist with the hectic schedule they have and blog at the same time.
an important note — as of recently, it has been decided that baepsae will rarely ever take requests for reviews or brand sponsorship unless the product or brand is something that is truly loved by the blogger and would reflect the attitude and personality of the blog. that said, in the off-chance that there is a case where baepsae does accept a product for review or a sponsorship, this tidbit is created to, as the title insinuates, allows for clear and open transparency. there may, on occasion, be an affiliate link or links in a post or a review for a product sent for the blog; however, these things will be disclosed immediately and multiple times within the post or somewhere on the blog. any content curated for and including aformentioned links and brands are not influenced by any one, thing, or entity outside of the blog’s owner. opinions, views, and how they are stated are that of the blog and the blogger’s and has no baring on the company or product unless stated otherwise. opinions and views are completely subjective, should not be taken as gospel, or used as the only source of “credible” information even if there are tinges of objective information provided. this blog nor its sponsors are liable for how you, the reader, absorb, handle, and accept the information provied to you nor are they liable if something were to happen in the event that you decide to follow the words and opinions found here. not everything works for everyone and, while recommendations are given, it is not anyone’s place to be a keeper of any sort for any person. currently, this section is a bit of a work in progress but if there are questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to send an email and you’ll get a response almost immediately.

baepsae.
hello! welcome to baepsae. baepsae is, admittedly, a blog that was named after a k-pop song and is a rebrand of a dying thing that didn’t yet deserve to die. the blog is maintained by mochi and has neither a particular focus or niche to this blog. you’ll typically find a bit of about music, books, anime, and the occasional rant, sharing of currents, and reviews.

25 before 25 | Six Months Later
May 21, 2018
i know it’s been a very, very long time since i’ve posted something of substance on the blog and i do plan on addressing that in one of the upcoming posts—it’s in the editing phase, so give me a little time, sorry—but i’m going to go ahead and ignore that for the time being to focus on something a little less heavy.

one of the last posts i made before my disappearance was a 25 before 25 post where i made a list of some of the major things in my life that i really wanted to acheive before i made it to my mid-twenties. my intention had been to actually update the list in march-ish of this year; however, due to things i’ll chat about in that post i mentioned, i ended up putting it on the back burner. that said, i felt like an update was needed now because my birthday is, roughly, a month away.

although i did make a good headway into the list, i’m still a bit disappointed that i didn’t get nearly as much done as i would have liked. there is still, like i said, a month left to get more things done, but i’m still disappointed in myself.

Quick Roundup: In the last couple months, I have changed my diet. I went back to my psuedo-vegetarian diet because the more I leaned towards veganism, the less happy I was and the more my body was not happy with me. I’ve also been getting back into cooking and baking which has been so helpful with my anxiety and depression. I’ve also made quite a good bit of headway with a lot of my debt.

I ended up buying a large hookah pipe almost immediately after making this post and it’s kind of one of the best decisions I made. I also was only able to buy that large hookah pipe because I ended up getting a couple more jobs. Who needs sleep, am I right?

I’ve gotten back into studying languages. In particular, the Korean and Japanese—but I’m also touching up on French, Spanish, and Portuguese—languages. I ended up buying an unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note8 and I’m pretty much far more in love with it than I probably expected it to. I did manage to write something and get back into writing; however, I haven’t really cemented an idea for my novel at all yet.

I ended up being so much more extroverted and going out a lot more with friends in the last 6 months than I have been in the last two or so years, so there’s that.

I haven’t gotten my next tattoo yet because I have only just recently decided on a design, but I have gotten a nostril piercing and am set to get some ear piercings in the next couple weeks before my birthday. I’ve also opened up a bit more with people, in particular, friends and new friends. Opening up more on the blog is coming up soon, though, so that should something I get done by the time my birthday rolls around.
